China's optimized COVID response to benefit global economic recovery

HiscommentcameastheOrganizationforEconomicCooperationandDevelopment(OECD)Secretary-GeneralMathiasCormannsaidonMondaythathecertainlyverymuchwelcomestheeasingofCOVID-relatedrestrictionsinChina,whichisverymuchpositiveintermsofmakingsurethatthesupplychainsfunctionmoreefficientlyandmoreeffectivelyandwillhelpbringinflationdown.
"Wehavenotedrelevantreports.Wehavealsoseenthatlately,moreandmoreprofessionalinternationalinstitutionshavesaidthatChina"sadaptingofCOVIDresponsewillprovetobeaboonfortheworldeconomy,"Wangsaidataregularnewsbriefing.
BorgeBrende,PresidentoftheWorldEconomicForum,saidinrecentdaysthatChina"soptimizationofCOVID-19responsewillleadtostrongerandmoreprosperousgrowthandcontributetoglobalgrowth.
TheInternationalMonetaryFund(IMF)notedthatChinawillachievestableeconomicgrowthin2023andbecomethelargestpositivefactoroftheworldeconomy.
MultipleinternationalinvestmentbanksandfinancialinstitutionsincludingMorganStanley,GoldmanSachs,HSBC,BarclaysandNatixishavereviseduptheirforecastforChina"seconomicgrowthratein2023.
"TheChinesegovernmenthastakentheinitiativetoadaptitsCOVIDresponsemeasuresinlightofthelatestsituation.Thisisarightstepineffectivelycoordinatingepidemicresponseandsocioeconomicdevelopment,"hesaid.
