HATAY,Türkiye,Feb.10(Xinhua)--At1:30a.m.localtime(1030GMT)onThursday,Chineseandlocalrescueteammembersstoodinlineandsmoothlytransportedastretcherbyhand.Onthestretcherwasapregnantwomanwhohadjustbeenrescuedfromacollapsedhouse.

Itwasnotuntilthepregnantwomanwassenttotheambulancethattherescuerswereslightlyrelieved.Theypattedtheircolleaguesontheback,sharingjoyandencouragingeachother.

ThewomanwasfoundbyTurkishrescuersintheruinsofaneight-storybuildinginAntakya,acityinHatayProvince,oneofthecountry"sworst-hitregions,ataround6:00p.m.localtime(1500GMT)Wednesday,saidZhaoYang,deputyleaderoftheChineserescueteam.

Zhaoandhisteammatesrushedtothesceneafterlocalrescuerscontactedthem.Uponarrival,theyassessedthesituationandthenmadearescueplanwiththeirTurkishpartners.

TheChineseteamalsogaveprofessionaladviceandprovidedtechnicalequipmentduringtherescueoperation,Zhaotoldreporter.

TheteamlandedattheAdanainternationalairportonWednesdayandarrivedinAntakyaafteran8,000-kmflightandhoursofroadtrip.Withnotimetorest,theyimmediatelyjoinedtherescueoperation.

LateronThursday,twomoresurvivorswerepluckedtosafetyfromtheruinsofcollapsedbuildingsbeyondthecritical72hoursforrescuebyChineseandTurkishrescueteams.

Thefirstyoungwomanwasgotoutfromtheruinsofaseven-storybuilding.Shewascoveredwithblanketsprovidedbytherescueteam,wearingneckguardsandlookingpale.Therescueteamcarefullycarriedherintoanambulanceandsenthertohospitalfortreatment.

Intheevening,anotherwomanwasfoundinabasement.Afterunremittingefforts,therescueteamcarriedherout.Rescuerscoveredherwithaspecialthermalfilm,beforecarefullycarryinghertoanambulance.

Internationalrescuersareracingagainsttimetosearchforsignsoflifeinquake-hitregions.SeveralsearchandrescueteamsfromChinahavearrivedwithrescuedogs,rescueequipmentandotherreliefsuppliestoassistintheefforts.
