China opposes U.S. placing Chinese firms on entity list, Specially Designated Nationals List

BEIJING,April15(Xinhua)--ChinaresolutelyopposestheU.S.movetoplaceChinesecompaniesonits"entitylist"andSpeciallyDesignatedNationalsListundertheso-calledRussia-relatedexcuses,aspokespersonwithChina"sMinistryofCommercesaidonSaturday.

ThemoveoftheUnitedStatesdoesnotalignwithinternationallawsandisnotauthorizedbytheUnitedNationsSecurityCouncil,thespokespersonsaid."Thisisatypicalpracticeofunilateralsanctionsandlong-armjurisdiction."

TheactionhasseriouslyunderminedthelegitimaterightsandinterestsofChineseenterprisesandthreatenedthesecurityandstabilityoftheglobalindustrialandsupplychains,thespokespersonsaid.

TheUnitedStatesshouldimmediatelyrectifyitswrongpracticesandceaseunreasonablesuppressionofChineseenterprises,thespokespersonsaid,addingthatChinawillfirmlysafeguardthelegitimaterightsandinterestsofChineseenterprises.
